Firefighters are working to control a house fire that broke out in the Launceston suburb of Mowbray late this evening.
Emergency services responded after residents called triple zero around 11:30pm, with crews from Rocherlea and Launceston arriving to find smoke billowing from the eaves and windows of the Clark Street home.
Tasmania Fire Service confirmed all occupants had been safely evacuated from the building with no reported injuries.
Fire crews are currently working to locate the source of the fire and bring it under control.

A smoke alert has been issued for Clark and Crawford Streets in Mowbray, with authorities advising the public to avoid the immediate area while emergency operations continue.
“There is no threat to the general public,” the Tasmania Fire Service said in a statement.

“People who don’t need to be in the immediate area should stay away.”
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this stage, with investigations expected to commence once the blaze is fully extinguished.
