Over 2,000 homes and businesses in Hobart’s north are without power this morning.
TasNetworks says around 2,129 customers are currently impacted in Hobart, Lenah Valley, Mount Stuart, New Town, North Hobart and West Hobart.

The widespread outage was first reported just after 10am on Sunday.
“Crews are investigating and will restore power as soon as possible,” a spokesperson said.
“Please stay at least 10 metres clear of any fallen power-lines or other damage and report it to TasNetworks on 132 004.”
An estimated repair time and the cause of the outage is not yet known.
Updated: The outage was resolved a short time later.
