The Pulse App is available on both iOS and Android devices. It has been designed to work with the latest versions of iOS (17.3.1) and Android.
To ensure that you continue to enjoy the best user experience, ensure that you are running the latest version of the Pulse App by checking the App Store or Google Play.

The app allows you to choose the notifications that you would like to receive from breaking news, to top stories and location-based notifications.
If you select breaking news, you will receive the latest news notifications from across the app in addition to any sub-categories you select.
To receive push notifications you must have tapped ‘Allow Notifications’ when setting up the app for the first time.
By default, all new app users who opt to enable push notifications will receive breaking news and top story push notifications.
To configure push notifications:
Open the Pulse App
Tap the ‘Menu’ icon in the bottom navigation
When the Menu screen opens, tap ‘Notifications’ under general settings
Use the toggle for each notification category to turn notifications on or off.
Troubleshooting
If you are not receiving push notifications on iOS, first check that you have enabled notifications by following the steps above.
If you are not receiving push notifications on Android, first check that you have enabled notifications by following the steps above. Depending on your device, the Pulse App may have to be open in the background for notifications to successfully be received.
If you have enabled push notifications but still aren’t receiving them, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the Pulse Tasmania app.
To search the Pulse App for a specific story or subject you must first open the Pulse App.
Find the search bar by tapping on the ‘Sections’ icon in the bottom navigation
When the Sections screen opens, tap ‘Search Pulse’ at the top of your screen
Your keyboard should now appear. Tap ‘Search’ find the article or subject of your choice.
Clear search history
To clear your search history, navigate back to the Sections page and tap the ‘Menu’ icon in the bottom navigation
Under the general settings, tap ‘Clear Search History’ and follow the prompts.
‘Clear Search History’ will only be visible if you have previously completed a search using the search bar.
