13-year-old girl facing charges for jumping on parked police car in Glenorchy

A young girl has been charged by police after she allegedly damaged a police vehicle in Glenorchy’s bus mall.

The 13-year-old was arrested after she reportedly jumped on the bonnet and windscreen of the parked car.

She made an appearance in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Friday.

“Everyone has the right to feel safe in our public places and police remain committed to detecting and deterring those who commit anti-social and illegal behaviours,” a spokesperson said.

“Anyone who witnesses anti-social or illegal behaviours is asked to contact police on 131 444 or report to Crime Stoppers Tasmania.”

“Information can be provided anonymously.”
