Tasmanian authorities have issued a warning to swimmers and water-users after a large shark was spotted off the coast of Tasmania earlier today.
Police say the shark is thought to be between 1.5m-2m long as was spotted approximately 2km offshore from the Saltworks Road boat ramp in Little Swanport.

Shark sightings are not uncommon in Tasmanian waters, as the state is home to a diverse range of marine life, including several species of sharks.
Beach-goers are advised to exercise caution and to follow the advice of authorities when swimming in the ocean.
