Alleged thief hits Hobart businesses for $3,000 worth of alcohol, tools, cosmetics

A Lindisfarne man has been arrested after allegedly stealing almost $3,000 worth of alcohol, tools, supplements, cosmetics and clothes from several businesses across Hobart in the last month.

The 26-year-old will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on Monday facing a string of charges, including nine counts of stealing, injure property and possess thing used for the administration of a controlled drug.

The man is also accused of unlawfully possessing a dangerous article in a public place, unlawful possession of property and 13 breaches of bail.

He has been charged with two failures to appear in court.

Police allege the man targeted businesses in Hobart, New Town, North Hobart, Mornington and Rosny since September 13.
