Ariarne Titmus returns to Launceston for ‘rest and relaxation’ after Paris Olympics

Olympic swimming champion Ariarne Titmus has returned to her hometown of Launceston after a stellar performance at the Paris games.

The four-time gold medallist has been enjoying some well-deserved downtime since arriving back in Tasmania, taking in the sights of her home city.

Titmus has been making the most of her visit, including a trip to the City Park Macaque monkey enclosure and a ride on the Cataract Gorge chairlift.

The swimmer has been documenting her travels on social media, sharing glimpses of her Tasmanian adventures with her followers.

She was also seen on Instagram enjoying the sights of the East Coast, staying at a boutique glamping accommodation in Binalong Bay.

Fans will have the chance to meet Titmus on Sunday at a public appearance at the new Rebel Sport store.

Titmus’s visit comes after her announcement that she will be taking a break from the sport for up to a year.

The swimmer said she needs time to recharge and explore other interests outside of swimming, ensuring she can return at her best for the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
