Bashen Road bridge over the Ouse River in Tasmania’s Central Highlands has collapsed.
The bridge, near the Waddamana Power Station, connects small areas like Miena and Shannon to Ouse and Osterley.

Images from Google Maps indicate that vehicles can still cross the river using a heavy vehicle causeway adjacent to the collapsed bridge.
The Central Highlands Council is currently responding to the incident and has advised motorists to make alternative travel arrangements.
