Aussie blood supplies are running low and Lifeblood Australia estimates that 65 Tasmanians will need to donate blood daily for the next two weeks to avoid shortages during the holiday period.

Those with O and A blood groups are being particularly encouraged to donate at centres which will be open throughout the holiday period, including on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
