Missing 45-year-old man’s body found in search of Launceston bushland

Sadly, the man missing from Launceston has today been found deceased in the West Launceston area.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and officers will prepare a report for the Coroner.

Concerns mount as search for missing 45-year-old Tasmanian man enters fourth day

The search for a missing Tasmanian man has entered its fourth day.

The man, 45, has been unaccounted for since lunchtime on Thursday December 14th and concerns for his well-being are escalating.

Police say search and rescue teams will be scouring bushland areas and residential yards that back onto bushland in the West Launceston area today.

According to Tasmania Police, he was last seen in Launceston wearing dark shorts, a dark hoodie and a black cap.

They described the man as around 185cm tall, of caucasian appearance and having a slim build with brown hair.

Police are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them on 131 444, quoting reference ESCAD: 165-17122023.
