He began his journey at Devonport’s Mersey Bluff on November 2nd and has since covered over 660km, passing through some of Tasmania’s most iconic landscapes while facing physical and mental challenges.

“This has been one of the toughest challenges of my life,” Goss said.

“The back-to-back long runs are taking a toll on me, both physically and mentally. Some days I wake up sore and completely drained and the thought of running for another 60 or 70km is daunting.”

“But every step I take is a step closer to making a difference for mental health awareness and that keeps me going.”

Along his journey, Goss has encountered the full range of Tasmania’s landscapes, from coastal roads to dense forests and rugged mountains.

“The mental side of this journey is just as tough as the physical one. But I remind myself why I’m doing this – there are so many people out there struggling with their mental health who feel alone,” he said.

“If I can raise awareness and help even one person reach out for support, it’s all worth it.”

Goss’s journey has been supported by his dedicated crew, including family, friends and volunteers, who have been by his side every step of the way.

He says their encouragement, along with messages of support from the public and sponsors, has been vital in keeping him going.

“Without my support crew and the community rallying behind me, I don’t know if I could have made it this far. Their belief in me, their hard work behind the scenes and the outpouring of love and support from the community have been incredible,” he said.

In the days ahead, he will run the East Coast through Buckland, Swansea toward Launceston, before making his final push back to Devonport on November 23rd.
