A man who allegedly ploughed his car through an East Coast skatepark while children were using it has been caught by police.
The 30-year-old from Shorewell Park near Burnie has been charged with hooning and drink driving offences after allegedly terrorising the streets of St Helens over the weekend.
Police allege the man was hooning in a silver Ford Falcon around 7pm on Saturday, driving dangerously over the skatepark at the St Helens wharf while children were using it.
He was then seen allegedly before hooning down Tully Street and Young Street.
The man has been charged with several offences, including drink driving, hooning and evading police.
It is alleged he had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.211 at the time, more than four times the legal limit.
The vehicle involved has been seized by police.
Authorities are hoping to speak to anyone who may have information or footage of the incident.
