A man caught at more than four times the legal alcohol limit while driving on the Tasman Highway has been charged.
The 40-year-old was stopped by police around 6pm on Sunday near Sorell after a member of the public reported his ‘erratic driving behaviour’.

A breath analysis test revealed the man had a blood alcohol content of 0.208, well above the legal limit of 0.05.
He is facing multiple drink driving offences and will appear in court.
“Never drive while under the influence of alcohol,” police said.
“You’ll be putting yourself and others at risk of death or serious injury from a crash.”
