The first cruise ship of the 2023-24 season has docked in Hobart today, with many more scheduled to stop in the city in the coming months.
P&O’s Pacific Adventure ship and its thousands of passengers arrived in Hobart early on Wednesday morning to a wet and cloudy day.
After spending the day in the city the ship, that can hold 2,636 guests across more than 500 rooms on 12 guest decks, departed around 5pm.

TasPorts say over 150 cruise ships are expected to call into ports around Tasmania this season.
The vessels are expected to bring more than 270,000 passengers and nearly 117,000 crew to the state, delivering an estimated $104 million economic boost to the tourism sector and the broader Tasmanian economy.
