Glenorchy shooting: Arrests made and firearm seized after Kenbrae Avenue incident

A firearm has been seized and four people arrested after a Glenorchy home was shot at Saturday night.

The incident occurred around 6:30pm on Kenbrae Avenue, when a gun was allegedly fired into a window of the property during a “disturbance”.

Police said the incident involved “people known to each other” and did not result in any injuries.

“Police, including specialist resources, responded and arrested four people,” a spokesperson said.

“Detectives executed several search warrants and located and seized the firearm believed to have been used in the incident.”

Two of the arrested individuals have since been charged with aggravated assault and are expected to appear in Hobart Magistrates Court.
