Some of the nearly 12,000 Tasmanian students receiving their end-of-year school results today have opened their emails to find a blank document instead of their grades.
11,700 young people in Years 11 and 12 have progressively had their results sent out by the Tasmanian Assessment, Standards and Certification (TASC) throughout the day.
Among the first recipients were students from a school in Kingston. However, an issue with one of the three types of results documents left some receiving a page with a blank table.
“The Course Criterion Profile Statement for students at Calvin Christian School were affected by a system processing error which displayed a results statement with no course details included,” a TASC spokesperson told Pulse.
“The issue was quickly identified and has been resolved with students receiving their statements.”
The spokesperson said the hiccup was isolated and did not disrupt the delivery of results for other students, with emails continuing to be sent as scheduled.
Education Minister Jo Palmer congratulated students on their achievements, acknowledging that the results period can be a “pretty exciting and sometimes a stressful time”.
“Senior secondary school is a time of growth as you work towards your goals and expand your knowledge and skills in preparation for future study, training and employment,” she said.
“There are many options for Tasmania’s young people to pursue the future learning and the careers that they would like to pursue.”
Students will also receive printed copies of their results and certificates by mail, with deliveries being sent out from today.
