Hobart raid nets ‘significant amount’ of drugs, imitation gun

Drugs, cash and an imitation firearm have been seized following a police raid in Hobart yesterday.

Police say officers targeted the home of a 48-year-old man on Tuesday, where they allegedly discovered a “significant amount” of methylampetamine, cash and the firearm.

“The amount of ICE seized had the potential to put hundreds of people in our community at risk,” police said.

The man has been charged with drug trafficking, dealing with proceeds of crime and firearm offences.

He will appear in court later today.
