Hobart’s Macquarie Street was covered in hundreds of confidential documents last night after an incident that reportedly saw them thrown from the roof of a building.
A handful of documents, seen by Pulse, were dated in the 2000s and ranged from what is believed to be private investigator logs to bank statements, job descriptions, business expenditure records and more.

Police declined to go into detail on the incident, but say a majority of the documents were recovered and will be returned to their rightful owner.
The exact number of individuals whose personal details were left exposed and the party responsible for discarding the confidential papers is not known.
