A man has been rushed to hospital after a tree reportedly fell on him in the Huon Valley this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the incident at Garden Island Creek around 1:45pm on New Year’s Day.

Police say initial inquiries indicate the 57-year-old man was felling trees on private property when he was injured.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
