Police search for man allegedly behind Black Friday robbery at Hobart shopping centre

A man is on the run after an alleged Black Friday robbery at a shopping centre on Hobart’s Eastern Shore.

The offender, described as being in his late 20’s, allegedly threatened staff at an Eastlands store around 11:40am on Friday before stealing several items and fleeing on foot.

Police say the man is believed to be of medium build with brown hair and was wearing blue jeans, a black top with a red hood while carrying a black and blue backpack.

No one was injured in the incident and Police are now calling for anyone with information to come forward.

6pm, Friday 24 November: Police believe the person pictured above can “assist with inquiries” and are seeking information on his identity.

Anyone with information can contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
