A Tasmania Police officer has been served with a summons after an alleged incident in Moonah earlier this year.
The 38-year-old man from Southern District was on-duty at the time of the incident on 10 May 2023, a police spokesperson said.

He will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on 2 February 2024 to face a charge of common assault.
The spokesperson said the officer has been placed on “non-operational duties” and would not make any further comment “given the matter is now before the court”.
