Pedestrian injured after vehicle crashes into Launceston petrol station

A petrol station in Launceston has been damaged after a vehicle crashed into it this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the Western Junction service station on Evandale Road just after midday on Thursday.

A police spokesperson said a pedestrian sustained minor injuries in the incident and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The driver of the vehicle was not physically injured.

The incident occurred at the Western Junction service station

“There was damage to the shop building, however the vehicle did not impact any fuel pumps,” the spokesperson said.

“There is no risk to the community.”
