A Launceston man is facing dozens of charges after a police investigation into a string of fuel thefts and vehicle damage incidents.
The 31-year-old Waverley man has been charged with 48 offences in total, including 24 counts of stealing and 24 counts of injuring property.

The Northern Criminal Investigation Branch laid the charges following a series of incidents reported over several months between January and April this year.
Police allege the man targeted multiple vehicles across the Launceston area, damaging them to gain access to fuel tanks.
He is expected to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court at a later date.
