A body has been discovered in the water at a popular beach south of Hobart this afternoon.
Police were called to Hinsby Beach near Taroona at around 4pm on Thursday after the body of a woman was found.

Investigations have determined that there were no suspicious circumstances.
People were asked to avoid the beach while emergency services attended the scene, which was packed with people as temperatures in the area soared to 36 degrees.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
