Police are searching for a man who has allegedly been “exposing himself” to people in a Tasmanian park in recent weeks.
The man is suspected of “behaving inappropriately” in the Romaine Park reserve area in Upper Burnie and anyone who may have seen him is asked to report it to the police.
A victim who reported an incident with the person earlier this month said in a ‘warning post’ online that she was walking around the Romaine duck pond at around 9:30 am when she was approached by the man.
She described him as elderly with a large build, wearing a black cap, grey hair and a grey polo shirt.
“Upon him walking past I noticed he was touching himself as he was approaching me, after he had walked passed I felt uneasy so turned around to which he was against a tree exposing and touching himself,” she wrote.
Police say the man is currently “not considered dangerous” but suspect that he may no longer be in the Burnie area.
“If you see him please don’t approach” and phone Burnie Police on 131 444 or report to Crime Stoppers anonymously.
