Police seize vehicle after drunk woman six times the limit crashes in Kings Meadows

A woman who crashed her car in Kings Meadows over the weekend was driving while over six times the legal alcohol limit, police say.

The 45-year-old from Nunamara allegedly recorded a breath analysis reading of 0.314 around 2pm on Saturday.

Inspector Craig Fox said police and other emergency services responded to the crash on Kings Meadows Link to find the woman outside the vehicle.

“She was arrested and charged with exceeding the prescribed alcohol limit, driving whist disqualified, breaching bail and other related offences,” he said.

“Her vehicle was also seized and police will apply for it to be forfeited.”

“Police would like to thank those members of the public who contacted police and provided information about the crash.”

The woman is scheduled to appear in the St Helens Magistrates Court on October 2.
