The 45-year-old was on the beach area at Seymour, north of Bicheno, around 6:20pm on Tuesday when his Mitsubishi Triton rolled.

Police say “accessibility issues” meant the rescue helicopter was called in to assist in transporting the man to the Royal Hobart Hospital.

The full extent of his injuries remains unclear, however police have confirmed that he was “thrown from the vehicle”.
