Smoke alert issued as firefighters battle bushfire in Collinsvale

A bushfire has broken out on Mount Hull Road in Collinsvale in the hills behind Hobart.

Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) crews are currently on scene and have confirmed there is no threat to nearby communities.

However, authorities have issued a smoke alert for the area.

They are warning residents along Mount Hull Road, Nelsons Road and Church Road to be aware of potential smoke, ash and embers.
