Snow brings ‘winter magic’ to Hobart’s Easter weekend

Hobart has woken up to a chilly Easter Sunday morning, with a dusting of snow landing on the top of kunanyi/Mt Wellington overnight.

BOM forecasters say today may be the ‘coldest day of the year’ so far, with the temperature in Hobart only climbing to 13 degrees.

The road to the summit of the mountain remains closed at The Springs, with the City of Hobart expected to reopen it around 9:30am.
