Tasmanians can expect a change in weather this weekend, with snow forecast to fall in parts of the state following a day of warm temperatures on Wednesday.
Hobart reached a high of 29.7 degrees yesterday, while Bushy Park in the Derwent Valley was the warmest place in the state at 30.6 degrees.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, showers are expected across the state on Friday, with snow falling to 900 metres in the south in the morning.
The BOM predicts that the showers will contract to the west and far south during the afternoon and evening, with northwesterly winds tending fresh and gusty westerly in the late morning and afternoon.

Launceston area

North-West Coast

West Coast
Cloudy. Very high chance of showers, most likely in the morning and afternoon. Snow falling above 800 metres. Possible small hail in the afternoon and evening. Winds northerly 25 to 40 km/h turning westerly 35 to 55 km/h during the morning.
East Coast
