The Tasman Highway at Scamander has been partially closed this afternoon as firefighters battle a bushfire in the Wrinklers Bridge area.
Police say officers in the area are currently conducting traffic control “at several locations” along the highway due to the fire.

The blaze, located around 2km from the township, is listed as being “Under Control” by the Tasmania Fire Service.
“Motorists between Wrinklers Bridge and Fresh Water Road are urged to slow down and abide by the reduced speed limits in place,” police say.
