The Tasmania Football Club will reveal its club name, colours, logo and foundation jumper next month.
Executive Director Kath McCann said the club had made a commitment to the Tasmanian community to have the reveal in March and confirmed Monday the 18th would be the day.
“It is a very significant milestone for the Club and we are looking forward to sharing it with all Tasmanians and AFL fans all around the world,” McCann said.
“The reveal will take place in multiple locations around Tasmania and the community will be invited to participate.”
Further details about the reveal, including membership sales and other club initiatives for the 2024 season, will be released in the coming weeks.
Over 5,000 Tasmanians recently completed a survey related to the club and suggested team names, including The Swifties, The Turbo Chooks, The Mutton Birds and The Devils.
The Tasmanian club was granted an AFL license in May 2023, with a new roofed stadium at Hobart’s Macquarie Point one of the conditions.
A $70 million high-performance centre is also planned for Rosny Parklands and will be ready by 2026 in preparation for the club’s entry into the AFL in 2028.
