A young P-plater has had his car clamped and his licence suspended after being caught speeding at 58km/h above the limit.
The 19-year-old was detected travelling at 158km/h in a 100km/h zone on the Ridgley Highway at Hampshire on Sunday morning.

Tasmania Police say excessive speed “puts everyone” on the road at risk.
As a result, the teenager was given a $1,161.50 fine and licence disqualification of four months.
“Remember, speed limits are there to save lives. Slow down and drive responsibly,” police said.
“Don’t let a moment of recklessness lead to lifelong regret.”
