Tassie Tiger Remains Found In Hobart

Picture of Pulse Tasmania

The remains of the last-known Tasmanian Tiger have been ‘sitting in a cupboard’ at the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery in Hobart.

The female thylacine died at the Hobart Zoo on September 7, 1936 and was moved to the museum – and it’s long been assumed its skin and skeleton went missing – until it was found in an education cupboard at the museum today.
