Tasmania’s biggest food festival will return to Hobart’s waterfront next week with a ‘refined and elevated’ culinary experience on offer.
The Taste of Summer event will feature over 70 stallholders from across the state, offering a range of local dishes from restaurants across the state.
Event General Manager Catherine Dean says preparations are running smoothly and ticket sales are strong.
“It’s been a busy couple of weeks. It’s getting really exciting and it’s starting to look really good,” she said.
“Ticket sales are going really well at the moment. The Taste of Summer is growing every year and we’re more than 30% up on sales from just last year.”
To celebrate the start of the new year, the festival is offering free entry to sports fans with tickets to select JackJumpers or Hobart Hurricanes games.
“The offer is valid before and after the JackJumpers game on 29 December and the Hurricanes game on 1 January,” Dean said.
“That means you can drop by before the bat flip or tip off, have an incredible lunch and then head to the game.”
“Or you can relive the winning moments with friends and family over drinks and dessert.”
The Taste of Summer will be held at Princess Wharf 1 on the Hobart Waterfront from December 28 to January 4.
