The 20-year-old from Austins Ferry, 21-year-old from Kingston and 21-year-old from Moonah are also facing various charges for assault, failure to leave when required and acting in a violent or disorderly manner.

Acting Inspector Danny Jackson said the orders prohibit the men from entering or being near any licensed venue in Southern Tasmania through to May 2025.

“Barring orders are a vital tool for protecting the community, preventing individuals whose behaviour poses a risk to public safety or violates liquor licensing laws from entering licensed venues, ensuring that venues remain safe and enjoyable for everyone,” he said.

“Tasmania Police works closely with licensed venues to uphold liquor licensing laws, which protect patrons and create safer spaces for the entire community.”

Orders are issued when someone’s behaviour, such as an alcohol-related offence or offensive conduct, poses a risk to public safety on or near licensed premises.
