Earlier: A young person sustained non-life-threatening injuries following an alleged stabbing incident at KFC in Rosny Park this evening.
Police were called to the fast-food outlet on Rosny Road around 5:40pm on Monday after receiving reports of an “altercation”.
A spokesperson for Tasmania Police said the incident involved “parties believed to be known to each other”.
The restaurant was closed following the incident and staff vehicles were used to block the drive-through.
Police say they remain at the scene with investigations continuing.
The Rosny KFC store is located directly across the road from the Bellerive Police Station.
