An alleged Tasmanian cow thief has pleaded guilty to stealing dairy cows worth over half a million dollars between 2018 and 2020.
On Monday a Launceston court heard how 51-year-old Cluan man Peter Whynn Jones stole the cows from Moo and You Finance Pty Ltd across the two-year period.

The stolen cows were identified as belonging to other owners through electronic devices in their ears.
After having his guilty plea accepted by Justice Robert Pearce, Jones was bailed to appear at a sentencing hearing on August 11.
