Arthur Highway near Port Arthur reopens after fallen tree blocks road

The Arthur Highway near Port Arthur has reopened after a fallen tree earlier blocked the road.

Police initially reported the obstruction between the Fox and Hound Hotel and Garden Point Road at 11:30am on Monday.

Council staff were dispatched to the scene and removed the tree within 30 minutes.

Motorists were advised to seek an alternative route until the road was cleared.

The highway was fully reopened by 12pm.
