Burnie City Council has spent nearly $7,000 cleaning up vandalism across the municipality in the last three months.
According to a report set to go before councillors at a meeting on Tuesday, the most costly damage was graffiti removal at $4,250.
Broken glass and windows cost the council almost $2,000 to fix, while repairs to public toilets set them back $650.
The report also included a $100 expense for miscellaneous repairs.
The report notes that there were no reports of damage to outdoor furniture in the last quarter.
While the figures represent a decrease in vandalism spending compared to the previous quarter, when $11,350 was spent on repairs, the council remains vigilant.
Residents are encouraged to report acts of vandalism online through the council’s website or the Snap Send and Solve app.
