A one-of-a-kind Tasmanian home featuring a slide between levels, an arcade room and an in-ground jumping pillow has hit the market.

The five-bedroom, four-bathroom property at 933 Murchison Highway in Elliott is up for sale, seeking offers over $699,000.

Owner Belinda O’Toole, who offers NDIS disability support services from the commercially-specced home, said the property was designed with ‘endless entertainment’ in mind.

“We wanted to create a space where we could bring people in and utilise the same kind of things that you can find out in the community, but indoors where it’s nice and warm,” she told Pulse.

“That’s where the slide idea came from … It’s an absolute child’s dream house.”

Along with a games room spanning two floors, the home also boasts a large kitchen with a walk-in pantry, two lounge rooms, a dining room, a large office and five bedrooms – three of which have ensuites.

There are also two outdoor sheds, water tanks and a backyard with a jumping pillow.

O’Toole said the response to the home’s unique features has been overwhelmingly positive.

“We had an open day a little over 12-months-ago and we had 450 people attend,” she said.

“The kids loved it, the adults loved it. Everyone’s just blown away.”

She said the games room includes two wheelchair compliant arcade machines, one for basketball and the other for bowling.

“So what we find is even people in wheelchairs, they can still bowl. Adults can actually go down the slide as well.” she said.

The property is currently being sold privately and is not yet listed with a real estate agent.

“Nobody really knew how to market it because I think it’s such a unique property,” O’Toole said.

“We thought we’d give it a go ourselves first, see what kind of interest is out there.”
