A shopping centre in Hobart’s northern suburbs has been forced to close as a result of flooding this afternoon.
Water poured into the Glenorchy Central centre around 1pm, drenching several stores including Woolworths and The Reject Shop.

Eyewitnesses told Pulse the centre was “inundated” with water, leaving some areas completely soaked.
Centre management declined to comment on the incident.
Widespread rain is continuing to impact much of Tasmania.
Between 9am and 2pm today, 39mm of rain has hit Low Head and Scottsdale, 30mm in Launceston, 20mm at Friendly Beaches and 5mm in the Hobart CBD.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast more rain and thunderstorms for the next few days.
