A Hobart resident is $1.6 million richer after winning division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw, but they may not know it yet.

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she has been unsuccessfully trying to contact the winner since Saturday’s draw.

“I was ready to reveal the life-enhancing news to Hobart’s newest division one winner earlier this week, but sadly whenever I called the number provided, it just rang out and went straight to message bank,” she said.

“If you see a number of missed calls on your phone, you could be the mystery millionaire we’re trying to contact.”

The winning $1,642,087.17 ticket was purchased at Cat & Fiddle Lotto in the Cat & Fiddle Arcade.

Store manager Gemma Wilkinson said the entire team were waiting for the winner to come forward.

“We’re so happy for our division one winner and it’s so great to have sold a division one winning entry before Christmas,” Wilkinson said.

“We’re started to decorate the shop and we’ve been informing all of our customers about the million-dollar win.”
