Hobart taxi targeted in Christmas Day window smashing incident

A Hobart taxi driver has been left with a hefty repair bill after his vehicle was vandalised on Christmas Day.

The rear windows of both the taxi and another car parked in the driveway of a Lenah Valley home were smashed around 10:50pm.

The owner told Pulse they saw two young people enter the driveway and smash the windows.

He described the incident as “terrible”.

Another car parked in the driveway was also vandalised

Police are now investigating and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

“Anyone with information in relation to the damage is asked to contact police on 131 444 or provide information to Crime Stoppers,” a spokesperson said.
