Early weather predictions for New Year’s Eve across Tasmania have been released, showing a mix of conditions to bring in 2025.
From the south to the north and along the coasts, the weather will vary across the state, offering a typical start to the new year.
Some areas will see more sunshine, while others may have cooler or cloudier conditions.
Hobart will have an overnight low of 12 degrees, leading into a mostly cloudy January 1 with a high of 20 degrees.
Launceston will also drop to 12 degrees overnight, followed by a day of clouds and sunshine with a top of 23 degrees.
The North-West Coast will see 12 degrees overnight, with a mix of clouds and sunshine during the day and a high of 19 degrees.
The East Coast is expected to have a slightly warmer night at 13 degrees, followed by a mostly cloudy day with a high of 21 degrees.
The West Coast will be cooler, with an overnight low of 11 degrees and wet start to the new year with a maximum of 18 degrees.
