Hobart woman in custody after ‘pulling knife’ at multi-car CBD crash

A woman has been arrested after she allegedly pulled a knife while attempting to flee the scene of a multi-vehicle crash in the Hobart CBD this afternoon.

According to Police, several vehicles collided on Liverpool Street around the Harrington Street area at 2:15pm on Sunday.

It is understood the woman allegedly crashed into a ‘series of parked cars’ during the incident, that fortunately, left no one injured.

Witnesses say she was restrained by members of the public until multiple police officers arrived.

Liverpool Street between Harrington and Barrack Street remains closed as investigations continue.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Police.

4:30pm, Sunday 26 November: Liverpool Street between Harrington and Barrack Street has since reopened.
