The waters of Cressy’s Brumbys Creek filled with excitement yesterday as hundreds of fishing enthusiasts converged for the annual Tasmanian Trout Expo.
The two decade tradition not only lures in those with a passion for the sport but also aims to hook a new generation into their own life-long fishing adventures.

Around 600 people turned out for this year’s event – which has evolved into a family tradition for some.
Organisers say a sense of camaraderie was in the air at the creek, with seasoned anglers and beginners swapping stories and tips against the backdrop of Cressy.
