Tasmania Police have recovered the body of an elderly man who was reportedly struck and killed by a falling tree in the north-west.
Emergency services found the man in his 70s under a tree on Pages Road at Calder, west of Wynyard, around 6:30pm on Friday.

Initial investigations suggest the man was in the process of felling trees moments before the incident occurred.
Police said there are no suspicious factors linked to the case.
“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones,” police said.
“A report will be prepared for the coroner.”
