A retiree from Bicheno is set to upgrade his lawn care routine after discovering he won $1.2 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw, planning to buy a new lawnmower.
The man, who remains anonymous, held one of the four division one winning entries in Saturday’s draw, each worth $1,264,652.43.
He said he has been playing the lottery “spasmodically” for over 40 years and is thrilled to finally join the division one winners’ club.
“I feel very lucky,” he said.
“I’ll be helping my children with the prize, but also treating myself to a new lawn mower! I could probably buy 1,000 lawn mowers.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Bicheno Newsagency on Foster Street.
Tasmanians have claimed nine division one winning entries worth over $12.28 million so far this year.
