Man suffers suspected broken leg after crash in Tasmania’s north-east

Two men have been taken to hospital with injuries after a crash in the north-east of the state this morning.

Police say the men were the only people in the Nissan Navara when it rolled on Mathinna Road at around 7am on Saturday morning.

One is suspected to have sustained a broken leg in the crash, which occurred around three kilometres east of the Mathinna township.

The Westpac Police Rescue helicopter was called to the scene and has since airlifted the men to hospital.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area while the road is being cleared.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
